Tên báo cáo: Recent Progress in Y3Ga5O12 Phosphors for Horticultural Lighting: Activator Doping, Lattice Engineering, and Co-Doping.
Tóm tắt: The development of controlled-environment agriculture requires light sources with tunable spectra to regulate photosynthesis and plant development. Y 3 Ga 5 O 12 (YGG) garnet is a promising phosphor host owing to its structural flexibility, thermal stability, and ability to accommodate various luminescent activators. This review summarizes recent advances in activator-doped YGG phosphors for potential horticultural lighting, with emphasis on three strategies: single-ion doping, host-lattice substitution, and co-doping. The relationships between crystal structure, activator environment, energy-transfer processes, and emission characteristics are discussed, particularly for Cr 3+ -based red-to-far-red emitters and systems designed for broader spectral conversion. From an application perspective, lattice engineering and co-doping offer greater flexibility for tailoring spectra to crop-and growth-stage-specific requirements than conventional single-doped systems. However, the practical development of YGG-based horticultural phosphors remains limited by the trade-off between spectral tunability and efficiency, material cost, operational stability, and insufficient plant-based validation. Future research should integrate phosphor design, LED module engineering, and plant physiological evaluation to accelerate the development of YGG-based phosphors for next-generation horticultural lighting.

Tên báo cáo: From Advanced Materials to Intelligent Microsystems: Electronics, Sensing, and Multifunctional Biointerfaces

The convergence of advanced materials, electronics, micro- and nanosystems, and biotechnology is creating new opportunities to develop intelligent devices and sensing platforms for applications in electronics, healthcare, and life sciences. I will present an overview of my research activities, spanning advanced functional materials, electronic devices, microsystems, sensing technologies, and bioelectronic interfaces. I will provide a brief overview of research activities at IWE1, focusing on the development and integration of advanced materials, micro- and nanoelectronic devices, sensors, and bioelectronic systems. Selected examples from my research will include functional materials and electronic devices based on phase-change materials, exploring their potential for memory, switching, and emerging computing concepts. Further work addresses micro- and nanoscale sensing, device architectures, and the integration of novel materials with electronic systems to
develop advanced sensing platforms. A further focus will be on bioelectronic interfaces and implantable systems, including our ongoing work on epiretinal implant concepts. This research involves advanced electrode materials such as IrOx and PEDOT:PSS, flexible and high-density electrode architectures, 2D and 3D structures with nanopatterned surfaces, electrochemical sensing of biological signals and neurotransmitters, and microfluidic approaches for localized therapeutic delivery.
