Biography & Research Vision

I earned my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Hanoi University of Science and Technology and my PhD from the Graduate University of Science and Technology, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST). I currently work in the Department of Heterocyclic Chemistry, Institute of Chemistry, VAST, and also serve as a full-time lecturer at Ton Duc Thang University.

My research focuses on organic chemistry, particularly the design, synthesis, and optimization of biologically active compounds for pharmaceutical and related technological applications. I have hands-on experience operating advanced research equipment, including continuous-flow chemistry systems such as the Vapourtec E-Series and Chemtrix KiloFlow, as well as analytical and structural characterization instruments such as HPLC and high-resolution liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC-HRMS/QTOF, SCIEX X500R).

My principal research interests include the development of efficient organic synthetic methods; the design and synthesis of bioactive compounds; investigation of the chemical constituents and biological activities of natural products; and the application of continuous-flow technology to optimize reaction conditions, improve yields, and enhance process control.

In recent years, I have increasingly integrated experimental research with computational chemistry, particularly density functional theory (DFT) for investigating and elucidating reaction mechanisms, and molecular docking for the design, screening, and synthesis-oriented prioritization of potentially bioactive compounds.
