1/ TS. Lê Duy Khánh báo cáo về chủ đề:  Application potential of the synbiotic product in human health protection
Abstract: Prebiotics and probiotics are known to play beneficial roles in human nutrition and health. In this study, the effects of IPFOS-Bacillus synbiotic product, a combined prebiotic–probiotic formulation, were evaluated for digestive support and immune modulation in an animal model. Administration of IPFOS-Bacillus at doses of 37.2 mL/kg/day and 44.6 mL/kg/day significantly reduced diarrhea incidence and restored intestinal microflora balance (p < 0,05) in rats. Both doses also increased total spleen protein content (p < 0,05) and lymphocyte count in diarrheic rats. No pathological abnormalities were observed in the heart, liver, kidneys, lungs, spleen, or digestive system. These findings suggest that IPFOS-Bacillus has strong potential for development as a health protection product.

2/ TS. Nguyễn Thị Thanh Loan báo cáo về chủ đề: Biological control of tomato bacterial wilt and apple fire blight by n-docosane, a plant resistance inducer derived from Streptomyces sp. JCK-8055
Abstract: Streptomyces sp. JCK-8055 exhibits strong biocontrol activity against apple fire blight and tomato bacterial wilt caused by Erwinia amylovora and Ralstonia solanacearum, primarily through induced resistance. However, the responsible metabolite was previously unknown. In this study, solvent partitioning, thin-layer chromatography, in vivo assays, and GC–MS analysis identified docosane as the active metabolite. Docosane elicited a positive response in GUS assay Arabidopsis thaliana at concentrations of 0.6–600 ng/mL. Within this range, docosane did not inhibit pathogen growth directly but effectively reduced bacterial wilt severity, with consistent control observed at 0.6–60 ng/mL; 6 ng/mL provided the most stable effect. Gene expression analysis showed that docosane simultaneously upregulated salicylic acid, jasmonic acid, and ethylene pathway genes, indicating a synergistic defense response. These results demonstrate that docosane functions as a plant resistance inducer produced by Streptomyces sp. JCK-8055 and highlight its potential as a biocontrol agent for managing bacterial plant diseases.

3/ ThS. Nguyễn Thị Huyền báo cáo về chủ đề: Scalable synthesis of SiOx/Spherical graphite composite via thermal plasma and ball milling for high-performance Lithium-ion battery anodes
Abstract: In this study, SiOx/spherical graphite (SiOx/SG) composites were successfully prepared as high performance anode materials for lithium-ion batteries through the combination of thermal plasma and ball milling approach. The thermal plasma method enabled the production of SiOx nanoparticles with controlled morphology and particle size, ensuring high purity and homogeneity. These nanoparticles were then uniformly dispersed into spherical graphite (SG) via ball milling, forming a composite with enhanced structural stability and electrochemical performance. The resulting SiO x/SG composite exhibited superior electrochemical properties, including high specific capacity, excellent cycling stability, and improved rate capability. This synergistic approach offers an efficient, scalable, and industrially viable route for developing advanced anode materials for next-generation lithium-ion batteries.
