CONGRATULATIONS Dr. NGUYEN HOANG LONG
The Institute for Advanced Study in Technology (IAST) is honored to congratulate Master Nguyen Hoang Long on successfully defending his doctoral thesis at Karolinska Institutet, Sweden – one of the world's leading medical training and research institutions. One of Karolinska Institutet's most prominent and iconic contributions is that a committee from the university has been responsible for selecting and announcing the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine laureate annually since 1901. This has solidified Karolinska Institutet's international standing and reputation in the field of medical science. Many researchers from the Institutet have also been honorably awarded this Nobel Prize.
The thesis focused on researching HIV prevention and promoting sexual health among men who have sex with men (MSM) in Vietnam – a high-risk population group with limited access to modern prevention tools such as PrEP or mpox vaccines.
