IAST signs MOU with Department of Physics, Jeonbuk National University
The Institute for Advanced Study in Technology (IAST), Ton Duc Thang University, and the Department of Physics of Jeonbuk National University (JBNU), Korea, have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding on July 15, 2026. The deal marks a big step in boosting cooperation between the two sides in the areas of research, education and technological innovation.
The MOU provides a foundation for closer academic and research collaboration, with a focus on quantum photonics. The two sides will work together by combining IAST’s experience in nanomaterials, computational modeling, and application-oriented research with JBNU’s strengths in nano-optics, carrier dynamics, and quantum devices.
Under this cooperation, IAST and the Department of Physics, JBNU, will promote joint Vietnam–Korea research groups, develop collaborative science and technology projects, support the exchange of researchers and students, and share laboratory resources. These activities are expected to create more opportunities for young scientists to study and work in an international research environment.
Through this MOU, both institutions aim to build a practical and long-term partnership, where new research ideas can be developed into scientific results and future technologies.
The signing ceremony is not only an important formal event, but also a meaningful starting point for a stronger cooperation in science and technology between IAST, Ton Duc Thang University and the Department of Physics, Jeonbuk National University.
