IAST Welcomes RMIT University Delegation for Cooperation Discussions
On September 30, 2026, the Institute for Advanced Study in Technology (IAST), Ton Duc Thang University, hosted a delegation from RMIT University to discuss directions for cooperation in scientific research and training.
At the meeting, both sides introduced their respective research strengths and discussed potential collaborative research directions, with a focus on the design of anticancer drugs from natural medicinal sources. This is a highly interdisciplinary field that combines natural products chemistry, computational modeling, and biological activity evaluation, and is expected to yield results of both scientific and practical value.
The two sides also explored the possibility of jointly training PhD students, making use of their combined expertise, facilities, and academic networks to improve the quality of high-level research human resources training.
The meeting took place in an open and friendly atmosphere. Both sides agreed to continue their discussions to concretize the cooperation content in the near future, aiming for practical outcomes in research and training.
