Ton Duc Thang University Establishes 5 Strong Research Groups
On February 28th, Ton Duc Thang University held an event to announce the establishment of 5 strong research groups. Among them, 2 research laboratories, including the Laboratory of Mechanics of Advanced Materials and Structures and the Laboratory of Biophysics, belong to The Institute for Advanced Study in Technology (IAST)
The strong research groups were established with the goal of promoting innovation, research and technology transfer, developing advanced technology solutions, and building a solid science and technology development foundation. These are interdisciplinary research groups, formed from the university's existing research groups/laboratories with outstanding research capabilities, led by reputable scientists in advanced science and technology fields.
Speaking at the Announcement Ceremony, Dr. Tran Trong Dao affirmed: “The establishment of strong research groups today not only marks an important step in the University's science and technology development strategy, but also affirms the commitment to methodical, in-depth investment to build a solid research foundation, approaching international standards.”
At the same time: “Strong research groups are not only a gathering place for excellent lecturers and researchers within the University but also a connection point with experts and scientists at home and abroad. The combination of intellectual resources from the internal faculty and international experts will create breakthrough strength in research, application, and technology transfer,” said Dr. Tran Trong Dao.
In recent years, Ton Duc Thang University has achieved many accomplishments in scientific research, contributing to enhancing the university's reputation as well as the development of science and technology and training high-quality human resources for the country.
