AUN-QA IC Conference: New Directions for ASEAN Higher Education Development

The 2024 International Conference of the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA IC) took place on December 11-12, 2024, at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) in Ho Chi Minh City.

The theme of the 2024 AUN-QA International Conference focused on the application of artificial intelligence in the innovation of higher education in Southeast Asia, with the goal of providing education administrators in the region an opportunity for critical dialogue and collaborative building to address the rapid development of technology and digitalization in higher education. The information shared at the conference is expected to reach not only the ASEAN university network but also educational institutions worldwide. The event attracted over 400 delegates from 153 universities, educational organizations, and regulatory bodies in the ASEAN region, along with international partners.

In his opening speech, Dr. Tran Trong Dao, Rector of Ton Duc Thang University, emphasized: "This year’s conference marks a significant milestone, not only in enhancing the quality of ASEAN higher education but also in laying a solid foundation for future regional cooperation. Hosting the AUN-QA 2024 conference is a valuable opportunity for Ton Duc Thang University to contribute to the overall development of ASEAN higher education."
