Dr.  Ho Le Huy Phuc presents a talk entitled "Development of numerical methods for limit state analysis of structures and materials"

Abstract:

This work focuses on the development of effective numerical methods for the limit state analysis of structures and materials, supported by second-order cone programming. Several numerical discretization techniques and the transformation of optimization problems into the conic form will be introduced. The presentation of comprehensive numerical results across various engineering domains illustrates the efficacy of the proposed approaches. Additionally, some advantages and challenges in this research direction will be outlined.

Dr. Tran Trung Dung presents a talk entitled "Reduced Shakedown Kinematic Formulation"

Abstract:

Reduced kinematic shakedown analysis formulation has been described. The advantages and disadvantages of the solution will be discussed. Several numerical examples will be illustrated to evaluate the effectiveness of the method.
